India receives the most UK visitor, work, and study visas

The United Kingdom now issues more study visas to India than to China, according to the most recent immigration data released on Thursday. According to the statistics, which cover the period from July 2021 to June 2022, say that Indians received the most number of visiting visas and skilled worker visas from the UK. 

According to the latest UK Immigration Statistics published on 25 August, about 118,000 Indian students were granted a student visa in the fiscal year that ended in June 2022, a rise of 89% from the prior year.  

Study visas issued to Indian students have increased by 215% compared to 2019, while those issued to Chinese students have decreased by 4%. The study omitted explanations for the variations in the percentages of Chinese and Indian nationalities in this group.

In addition, 46% of all skilled work visas issued by the UK went to citizens of India.
